As for wedding venues, Brooklyn Arts Center, Wilmington, will forever and always hold a very special place in our hearts. It was in fact the backdrop for Ben’s very first wedding painting, ever created! It’s where Wed on Canvas all began!

Located in the heart of downtown Wilmington, NC, the Brooklyn Arts Center is such a unique wedding venue! It’s a historical church that has been completely renovated and preserved. The City of Wilmington has fought so hard over the years to restore this church and maintain it as a national landmark over the years. We love that it’s now one of Wilmingtons best downtown wedding venues and can be enjoyed and celebrated in such a sweet way!

A Surprise Wedding Gift: Her favorite Live Wedding Painter: Ben Keys!

This live wedding painting was actually commissioned by Morgan’s Aunt as a complete surprise! On the night of their rehearsal dinner, the surprise painting was unveiled to Morgan and Andrew. Morgan had already been following Ben’s live paintings on Instagram and couldn’t believe the surprise of her dream Live Painter!! When she opened the surprise, she immediately recognized BEN KEYS and was absolutely overcome with joy! This family has become dear to us, and one of the sweetest surprise stories to date!
