There are some venues that just hold a very special place in our hearts, and Figure 8 Island is one of them!  One of Ben’s very first live wedding paintings was there at the Figure 8 Island Yacht Club and we’ve had the joy of returning year after year.  Wilmington is also the location that Ben launched his professional art career, capturing the coastal landscape and architecture of the area.  (Check out BenKeys.com to see more of these paintings!)  Ben has been known for these coastal works that have been collected and shown in galleries for over a decade.  It’s always a beautiful moment when Ben is able to capture a wedding live that also happens to have the backdrop of a gorgeous coastal landscape … in some ways, it’s the best of both worlds!  When Jennifer shared that she was hoping for a simple wedding painting that captured their ceremony and the gorgeous view, we were absolutely thrilled!  Sometimes, less truly is more … and allowing the backdrop to have a priority really speaks to how special this location and landscape is to their family.  Their Fall wedding was breathtaking overlooking the waterfront view of the marsh and boats.  Ben truly felt at home creating their painting.  We are so thrilled to share their finished piece and hope that it always brings a sense of “home” to this sweet couple.
