It all started with a perfect Charleston Proposal!
Caitlyn and Sam’s Union Trust wedding in Philadelphia, PA is a special one to both Ben and I (Jen!)! Their story actually starts in Charleston, SC! Sam and Caitlyn planned a getaway to Charleston, SC. Little did Caitlyn know … Sam was working behind the scenes to plan a perfect Charleston Proposal and discovered Jen Keys Photography! When Sam reached out to me (Jen) to photograph this milestone moment, I was so in to help pull off this incredible surprise!
Sam chose Magnolia Plantation as the perfect spot for the Proposal! Together, we mapped the entire path for their stroll through the beautiful gardens that would lead them to the iconic White Bridge. I was ready, camera in hand, to photograph them as they started walking towards the bridge. That’s where Sam dropped to one knee and asked Caitlyn to begin forever together! From there, we walked around taking photos and getting to know each other. I shared that Ben travels to Philadelphia frequently as a Live Wedding Painter. They loved the connection and decided to hire Ben to paint their Philadelphia wedding day, too!
A Union Trust Wedding in Philadelphia, PA
Needless to say, the Charleston Proposal connection added such a sweet layer of meaning to their live wedding painting from the start! Caitlyn and Sam chose the incredible Union Trust as the backdrop for their celebration! There are so many reasons to love Union Trust … but the grand architecture and high ceilings are just stunning! Located in the heart of Philadelphia, this wedding venue is a prime location, close to everything.
The hardest part of planning for Caitlyn and Sam’s painting was which angle and perspective to capture. They landed on a First Dance moment featuring the space and incredible architecture, surrounded by family. Ben absolutely loved creating their painting live throughout the night, meeting their family and friends. Needless to say, we are beyond excited to unveil Caitlyn and Sam’s finished live wedding painting from their Union Trust wedding!
