Middleton Place is hands down, one of our absolute favorite Charleston wedding venues! This waterfront view from the Octagonal Gardens is what makes a wedding ceremony here so beautiful. The magnificent Live Oak trees here in Charleston just have something romantic charm about them. And on a perfect Fall wedding day, with the Spanish Moss blowing with the breeze, this view is just made for a live wedding painting!
Jillian and Ben’s Middleton Place Wedding Ceremony Moment: A Dip Kiss!
It’s always so exciting for us to hear what couples would like for Ben to capture in their live wedding painting. The hardest part about this decision at a Charleston venue like Middleton Place is that it could truly be painted from every moment of the day!
Jillian and Ben landed on such a fun and unique moment for their live painting: a dip kiss down the aisle! Oh the drama and wow of this moment! It’s one of our favorite moments during the whole ceremony. And pair that with the stunning backdrop from Middleton Place!
Why we love Charleston weddings at Middleton Place:
I would argue that this Live Oak tree is one of the most beautiful trees in all of Charleston! It creates a perfect canopy over the altar for couples. As a Charleston Live Wedding painter for over a decade, it’s always exciting when couples switch it up a bit. Jillian and Ben decided that their dip kiss during the recessional would be the perfect moment for them. The dip kiss down the aisle so beautifully highlights Jillian’s off the shoulder wedding gown and soft veil cascading down the path. And we love that they wanted to include their wedding party standing under the Live Oak tree, too!
A wedding at Middleton Place is such an unforgettable Charleston experience for wedding guests. As they weave through the Gardens to the ceremony location, it’s like you’re transported to a European Estate. From the ceremony, guests walk over to the Pavilion for the reception where they are greeted with cocktails. And if the venue wasn’t reason enough to host a wedding at Middleton Place, we would say the food is some of the best in Charleston! Guests experience all of Charleston in one setting from the view to the southern hospitality to the delicious low country cuisine!
