If there’s one location that’s been on our destination wedding wish list since day one, it’s NANTUCKET!  When Katie called to inquire if Ben was available, we were over-the-moon excited to hear all the details of their dream coastal wedding day.  Having vacationed to Nantucket for years together, and Bill being from a family of avid sailors, Nantucket was the perfect location for their celebration.  Needless to say, Nantucket did not disappoint.  We loved how Kate + Bill’s wedding day highlighted the best of Nantucket, from the waterfront view overlooking the harbor to the little details like the oyster bar made out of a skiff that was open during cocktail hour … every detail allowed for guests to appreciate this couple’s love and connection to each other even more!  That’s one of the reasons that we love destination weddings.  The couple is able to share their love and connection to a place with their closest friends and family.  What a gift to the couple and the guests!  Katie and Bill decided that the cocktail hour would be the best backdrop for the painting as it allowed for Ben to capture everyone enjoying the gorgeous waterfront view during the day.  Ben has always loved painting the coastal landscape … check out benkeys.com to see more of his non-wedding paintings … and the view from the White Elephant was such an iconic Nantucket seascape!  The guests loved watching their live painting come together and we are so thrilled to share the finished painting.  Thank you so much to Kate of Plan it MV and to Jocelyn Filley for sharing their gorgeous wedding images!
