We just checked another box on our dream wedding destination list: NEW ORLEANS! Last year we captured Brooke’s sister’s wedding in Athens, GA (SEE THEIR WEDDING HERE!), and couldn’t have been happier when Brooke reached out to share she was engaged to Jacob and that they wanted Ben to capture their wedding with a live painting, too! We’ve been waiting for years for the stars to align with our schedule and being able to travel to New Orleans for a wedding. Of course, my (Jen’s) first question was: are you going to have a Second Line Parade! Needless to say, they did … and it was just one of the amazing details surrounding their celebration! Brooke and Jacob said I Do at St. Henry’s Catholic Church and then in classic New Orleans style, paraded to the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel for their reception! Located in the heart of the French Quarter, The Omni Royal Orleans is a dream. (If you’re visiting New Orleans, you MUST stay here!) The classic rod iron balconies are a stunner! Brooke and Jacob requested Ben to capture their first dance in their live painting … which was perfect for Brooke’s gorgeous ball gown! The Uncommon Camellia created and coordinate an incredible reception space – with gorgeous florals from Bella Bloom and a cake to die for by Pure Cakes Nola! And can we talk about their incredible BAND: The Phunky Monkeys were insanely good! Ben said that their painting just flowed together so naturally throughout the night. We’re so excited to share their finished live painting. Thanks so to much, Brooke + Jacob, for including us in your wedding day AND being our very first New Orleans wedding!!
