Live Wedding Painting | Mellon Auditorium

Megan + Misha

Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium
Washington, DC
24 x 30 in. | Oil on Canvas

Megan and Misha chose Washington, D.C.’s iconic Andrew Mellon Auditorium as the backdrop for their wedding reception.  We were absolutely in awe of the reception design and decor coordinated by the Simply Chic Events team.  Megan and Misha commissioned Ben to capture their first dance amidst the spectacular architecture and surrounded by their family and friends.  All in all, as I (Jen) reflect on their wedding day, I’m reminded of just how Wed on Canvas is to Ben and I, knowing this painting will be cherished for a lifetime.  Their wedding day was overflowing with beauty and life, and such a reflection of this couple.  Simply Chic Events brought together an incredible team of vendors.  The floral centerpieces and installations by Amaryllis were absolutely enchanting.  They created several weeping-willow-like trees with hanging florals that brought a magical garden experience into the ballroom.   One of our favorite moments of the evening was the surprise of the traditional Dragon and Lion Dance, a perfect ending to send off the couple who now reside in Singapore.  Needless to say, we are so thrilled to share Megan + Misha’s finished live wedding painting!
