Treasury on the Plaza • St. Augustine, Florida
We are so excited to share 5 glamorous live wedding paintings that Ben has created at the Treasury on the Plaza, located in St. Augustine, FL. As a native to St. Augustine myself (Jen!), St. Augustine is a truly special city to us. The Treasury on the Plaza sits adjacent to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine in the heart of Old Town. This historic landmark actually used to be a bank and was recently preserved and transformed into a wedding venue back in 2014.
Fun family story: When The Treasury on the Plaza was First National Bank, my grandfather actually banked there! My grandparents lived just over the Bridge of Lions on the water with a beautiful view of downtown St. Augustine. As the tallest building in St. Augustine, the Treasury on the Plaza is one of the buildings that has always made that skyline and waterfront view so iconic. (But funny enough, my memories as a child were sitting in the lobby of the bank bored to tears as my grandfather didn’t know a stranger!) Personally, I’m so grateful that this incredible landmark has been preserved as a wedding venue and the beauty of it enjoyed in such an incredible way!
