Holly and Teddy’s Grand Overlook Wedding at the Atlanta History Center was beyond beautiful! From the Swan House to the Grand Overlook Ballroom, this property is just absolutely inspiring! And such a dream for Ben to paint!
A Reception Reveal Moment for their Live Wedding Painting
Holly decided on having Ben paint her and Teddy dancing under their absolutely breathtaking floral installation over their dance floor … created by the fabulous @jhbrittwood team! Rather than including all of their guests, Holly really wanted the focus to be on the two of them. Also, she really wanted the painting to really highlight their decor, florals, and cake … just all the pretty surrounding them. During our Creative Call, we decided that their big Reception Room Reveal moment would be absolutely perfect for their live wedding painting moment!
A Reception Room Reveal is when the couple (usually accompanied by the planner and photographer) have a moment just to themselves to view the reception space. For months … sometimes years … couples have spent so much time and attention to detail in planning the design for the reception space. This special moment is so sweet for the planner’s especially to see the couple’s reaction to the room! And bonus, it’s an incredible photography moment, too! Like Kate and Sean, they were able to share a quick first dance, just the two of them, inside the reception.
And this post just wouldn’t be complete without sharing how it was an absolute joy to work with @yvonnespiottaweddings again! She is just incredible with her attention to detail and coordinating all the many pieces that went together in creating their dream day! Ben absolutely loves painting Yvonne’s weddings that she coordinates!
