SMITHTOWN, NEW YORK

Ben has painted at many Long Island wedding venues over the years, but this was our first Stonebridge Country Club wedding! As we were planning before the wedding, it was evident why they chose this incredible venue, located in Smithtown, NY! The outdoor ceremony space is so lovely with beautiful landscaping. The two were excited to hold their ceremony there on the lawn as the weather was just gorgeous! Following the ceremony, guests transitioned inside to continue the celebration. The ballroom space of Stonebridge Country Club is so, so beautiful, too, with wrap around windows! It’s a win when a venue has an incredible outdoor AND indoor option!

Deciding the subject of their live wedding painting:

Choosing the subject was not an hard decision for Donald and Katelyn! They knew right away that they wanted Ben to capture their ceremony recessional moment for their live painting. Ben LOVES capturing this moment! It’s such a sweet moment, just as the couple have been announced for the first time as married. We would argue, there’s no smile during the wedding day that comes close to excitement of the recessional moment. It’s the biggest, sweetest smile!! You can feel the love and energy from this moment!

The Recessional Moment highlights the gown and bride’s bouquet!

Another reason we LOVE the Recessional moment for a live painting is that it really highlights the bride’s gown and bouquet!! It’s so great to see the details of the gown from this perspective, and the drama of the veil and train flowing behind. For brides that love flowers and are especially excited about their bouquet, this moment is so great to forever capture the bouquet!

And speaking of flowers: Stonebridge Country Club’s ceremony space includes a beautiful arbor that Katelyn and Donald added beautiful flowers across. The arbor doubled as a perfect frame in the painting, drawing the eye even more to this sweet couple!

We are so excited to share Katelyn and Donald’s finished live painting from their Stonebridge Country Club wedding!!
