An iconic, Southern Cannon Green Wedding
Our very first Cannon Green Wedding here in Charleston, SC! Ben and I (Jen) feel so lucky to call Charleston home on both a personal and business level. From the architectural beauty, to the food, to the beaches, and the southern hospitality, it’s no wonder Charleston has become such a sought after wedding destination. Though Ben loves traveling internationally and nationally for live wedding paintings, sometimes … it’s just so good to be home! It’s rare that we have a local wedding, and even more of a rarity when the bride and groom are also locals!
Dana and Alex’s wedding day was so fresh, unique, and full of life. We were thrilled to be part of their celebration. The two chose downtown Charleston’s Cannon Green as the backdrop for both their ceremony and reception. The courtyard, overflowing with lush greenery, was so lovely for both their ceremony and cocktail hour as guests then transitioned into the Carriage House ballroom for dinner and dancing. The icing on the cake was when Dana requested that Ben capture their live painting in a more loose, impressionistic style … and to have them painted faceless! As if the setting weren’t inspiring enough, Ben loves having this type of creative freedom! Ben was so pleased with how their live painting came together and we’re thrilled to share it today on the blog! Cheers to this amazing Charleston couple and their gorgeous wedding day!
