We are so excited to share our first Wrightsville Manor Wedding painting from Wilmington, NC! Wilmington weddings will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Believe it or not, Ben and I (Jen) actually met at Wrightsville Beach … true story … I was buying a painting!
Wrightsville Manor & Gardens: One of Wilmington’s Newest Wedding Venues
Wrightsville Manor and Gardens is an absolute dream with it’s historic charm and beautiful landscaping. From ceremony to reception, this venue was so thoughtfully built that could be photographed (or painted!) from every single corner with a perfect view. It’s outdoors, but with a more glamorous vibe. The lawn is lovely for ceremonies under the enchanting Live Oaks. The indoor space is a perfect blank canvas with whitewashed bricks and modern windows that flood the space with light. A wedding at Wrightsville Manor is for the couple that wants that historic Wilmington, Old World charm … and in the same breathe, also wants a glamorous vibe.
Connor’s wedding gift to Amanda was a live painting of their ceremony at Wrightsville Manor
We LOVE surprises! And Connor pulled off the most incredible surprise wedding gift for Amanda! He hired Ben to created a live wedding painting of their ceremony at Wrightsville Manor … without her ever knowing!! He planned every creative detail for the painting, confident in what she would want to have painted. Connor even thought ahead to have the photographer present to capture the unveiling of the gift that morning. After opening the gift, Amanda walked to the courtyard to meet Ben for the first time … as he was sketching the backdrop for their live painting! Amanda and Connor’s wedding day was a perfect Wilmington wedding day! Ben loved painting the canopy of Live Oak trees dripping with Spanish Moss as they said their vows. Including their wedding party on each side was really important to Connor as well. And oh my goodness, can we talk about their stunning ceremony flowers! Amanda’s wedding dress with veil cascading over the train was such a dream … and so beautiful for their wedding painting!
