Seersucker and Lace. Pink and Navy. Bow ties and Boats. Mackall and Glenn’s wedding was the quintessential Charleston wedding: Classic coastal, southern style! Mackall began planning her dream wedding when she was just two years old! The ceremony was held on Mackall’s family dock at Isle of Palms, with a reception that followed directly on shore. Her style: so timeless! Thoughtfulness steeped each decision, and at the same time the details were fun and full of life!
Ben created their wedding painting during the ceremony as they said, “I do.” Mackall requested that intimate moment of saying their vows, with the sun setting and reception celebration gearing up in the background. Their wedding day made for such a unique and personal wedding painting.
I (Jen) first met Mackall as she was shopping for her wedding gown with me at Modern Trousseau of Charleston. I’ll never forget the moment she tried on the Honey gown, we all knew that was HER gown! A timeless French Alencon lace gown with a beautiful deep V-back and the ever romantic cap sleeves. It was perfect! We created a twist with her sash, in order to wear the family brooch that had been passed down to her. And I must note her shoes: FUN and flirty pink wedges, that had a pop of sparkle on them!! She knew her style, and had a vision for her wedding day from start to finish.
It was an honor to be part of their day, both in the details of the dress and the live wedding painting. Enjoy this “Oh! So Charleston!” wedding and our best wishes to these newlyweds!
